FINAL ISSUE – 1 June, 2012

A message from the Pageant Master…

Your planning will now be all but complete - you may even be en route - and the weather for Sunday is looking, well... at least not too inclement. Anyway, come rain or shine, we are all set to make history on 3rd June with the most spectacular river pageant ever.

I am told that it will be the largest event that London has ever hosted; it is certainly the BBC's biggest ever outdoor broadcast involving well over 100 cameras. Apart from the BBC, the Pageant itself has accredited over 2,500 radio and TV journalists who will be relaying their feed to countries far and wide taking the Pageant's global TV audience to well over one billion people!

So make sure that your vessel is looking its best and remember to ask your crew and guests to smile and wave. I know it will be hard work for you, but nevertheless I really hope that you enjoy the Pageant. Thank you very, very much for your commitment to it - I am humbled by the heroic effort that you have all made to participate.

Good luck!

ADRIAN
